Shotokan Karate is a complete martial art that will train you in self defense. You will learn how to apply karate basics and kata to real life street fighting situations where you may be forced to defend yourself or your family. Our practices are led by Chuck Williamson, a third degree black belt student of Tsutomu Ohshima, founder of Shotokan Karate of America. At our practices you will learn a combat style of application to your karate. Learn how to defend against knives and baseball bats, and multiple attackers.
We are so glad that you are interested in joining Whittier Shotokan Karate.

To win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the highest skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the highest skill.” – Master Gichin Funakoshi
